Our editorial standards in plain words: how we pick, check and correct stories

  1. We name the person who wrote each piece.
  2. We say when a post is sponsored.
  3. We fix mistakes quickly and note the change at the top of the post.
  4. We never sell your email address.

When we use a source, we name it. When we link to a study, we read it. If a company we write about is also an advertiser, we say so at the top of the post.

To report an error, write to the editors using the link in the footer. We reply within two working days.

This is a demo story: every name, place, organisation and figure in it is fictional.
